Today Mario Gomez bagged both of Germany’s goals in their win over Holland in Group B of the European Championships, the result means his side just needs a point in their last group game against Denmark to qualify for the quarter-finals, that would also be enough to finish as group winners and face the runner-up from Group A.
His form and the likelyhood of German progress to the knock-out stages makes Super Mario who scored 41 goals in all competitions last season, favourite now to land the golden boot, wearing the new Puma evoSPEED boots. He is currently joint top of the scoring charts with Russia’s Alan Dzagoev.
