Nike seems to be strongly gearing up for the release of the new edition of their ‘speed’ boot in the form of the Mercurial Vapor VIII, as we have also seen the likes of Mesut Özil receiving an unreleased prototype for pros to test them out ahead of next summer’s release.
In fact, in a chilly training session, AC Milan’s Swedish powerhouse striker Zlatan Ibrahimović has confirmed himself as an avid Mercurial Vapor endorsee by trying out a black-out pair of the prospective 8th incarnation.
A picture from Real Madrid’s training camp confirms Özil’s receipt of the new upcoming boots, which he tested out in training together with Nike and Los Merengues ace Cristiano Ronaldo.
Meanwhile, the Santos star Neymar has worn them again in training too, with these images seeming to testify that this boot will feature a very smooth and lightweight upper (with no Flywire technology), as well as a new glass-fibre soleplate (with no Sense studs).
Boot spotters worldwide will also notice other important pairs of football boots here too, such as the Slime / Navy / White adiPower Predator by adidas shown in Real Madrid training.
Furthermore, note the latest football boot by Pelé Sports, the ‘speed’ Trinity 3E, that has been sported by a player during Santos training.
