The Denmark-based Hummel company has released its collection for 2012, with the most striking pair of football boots being the Rapid X Blade, available in a selection of colourways as shown here largely involving the contrasting white, black and orange.
This is Hummel’s bid into the competitive ‘speed’ boots market, with the Rapid X Blade being constructed from a recycled synthetic microfibre material and tipping the scales at approximately 260 g.
Aesthetically, obviously note the signature Hummel Chevrons at the side and slightly off-centre lacing.
It is interesting to note the innovative unique Hummel “Cage Construction” from the external heel counter through to the lacing system for a supportive fit all-round.
This boot pays significant attention to the traction outsole, with bladed studs of an angular shape for better ground penetration.
