Puma has launched a new range of boots known as the V1.815 Ferrari boot. The manufacturers have spent up to two years developing this boot only to make it a limited edition product by only producing 815 pairs to coincide with the start of the Formula 1 season. The boot pays homage to Ferrari racing cars and it comes as no surprise that it’s designed for the ultimate speed player. Amazingly these boots weigh even less than the Nike Superfly but unfortunately they’ll also leave your wallet feeling light as they retail at a pricey £250.

The Puma Aptolast sets ergonomic and aesthetic benchmarks for football footwear by providing a glove like fit that allows the upper to perfectly mould to the player’s foot. The upper has also been treated with dirt and water repellent coating to ensure an unprecedented ball touch. The lightweight Pebax frame constitutes the outsole base and houses a carbon fibre insert that enhances speed and stability. The external heel counter provides protection and supports the heel and ankle during sudden direction changes. The off centred lacing increases the kicking area, improving pressure distribution and reducing force from ball impact.
