On Thursday night when Celtic took on Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Europa League at the Vicente Calderon, we got an unexpected boot spot when Celtic Greek striker Georgios Samaras wore an as yet unreleased color-way of the Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly.
The new Superfly boots are expected to be released shortly (most likely October) and are already appearing in stores autumn/winter catalogues. The Total 90 Laser IV have only just been launched by Nike, but look for their speed boots to be next.
Celtic lost their opening Europa League group game 2-0, with Atletico’s Falcao heading home from a third-minute corner and Diego scored when he ran on to Arda Turan’s cut-back to shoot home in the sixty-eigth minute.
