Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly Boot
The Nike Flywire technology means Nike can use the minimum of material required for the upper of the Mercurial Vapor Superfly boot, not compromising durability, integrity or support whilst saving weight. The chasis of the boot is carbon fibre and there is also a lightweight traction sole plate to save more weight.
Overview of the boot tech in Nike’s Mercurial Vapor Superfly
- 7-layer carbon composite outsole (lightweight but maximum strength, resilience and flexibility)
- Teijin synthetic skin exterior surface (only 300 microns thick)
- Flywire thread (provides optimal support)
- Five ultra thin layer composite upper
- Lightweight Traction Sole Plates
- Super-light, super-strong direct injected dual-density molded studs
- One-piece Seamless Heel Pod Liner (better fit & comfort)
The boots go on sale on April 1st, are available for pre-order from March 11th and you can watch them in action that night when Inter Milan play Manchester United in the Champions League or in Premier League games the following weekend.
