Luís Carlos Almeida da Cunha, known as Nani, was born on 17 November 1986.  He is a winger for English side Manchester United and the Portuguese national team. Note that Nani began his career with Sporting CP of Portugal.

Nani has been a Nike man for quite a long time, generally opting for the Mercurial Vapor VI, rather than the Superfly II. These football boots are Nike’s legendary offering for such speed players, including Theo Walcott and Aaron Lennon. Moreover, Nani has featured in some of Nike’s recent campaigns, for example contributing with respect to ‘Inside the Pro’ short videos.

However, note that the Portuguese winger played all of last Sunday’s away match for Manchester United against Bolton Wanderers at the Reebok Stadium in White / Black / Radiant Pink adidas F50 adiZeros.

This has surely been a strange move by Nani, who chose to wear cleats forming part of adidas’ cult speed range this time.
